As topic heading I'm looking at buy 4 federal rsr's 215 40 17 from tyreleader. Thing is they don't state that the size I'm going to buy is XL?
Would these be alright for dailly road use? What disadvantage is there to no reinforced sidewall except stiffness? Will it effect tyre longevity majorly?

Mine stated XL from that site so can only assume they aren't if it doesn't say

Don't know if it'll make a big difference with these. My last tyres were Conti 5s not XL and were spot on

Not a worry atall I had kindo thiught that if they were xl it would be stated was just unsure how well they would perform without the reinforced sidewalls was all!
I'm same as yourself I've got conti 5's at moment & just want to try something else!

The RSR's are road legal & will pass MOT won't they? Curious as mine is next week so really hoping to get them asap lol!
