Was about to order some Quatrac 3 tyres for the civic but then noticed they were the xl version. Is anyone running xl tyres on their motor? Any negatives? I realise the pressure needs to be higher, but do they make the ride any different besides this?

Cheers,Kev...

Would be interested in this also, just ordered some XL. A guy on the type R owners said he's ran them though and it just means a slightly stiffer side wall, and therefore a slightly more uncomfortable ride and I think he said they'd possibly be less compliant under heavy cornering. But i'd have thought hard side walls on a FWD hatch would be good news, less flex?

Is that true about the tyre pressure? Just because the XL CAN handle higher pressure, does that necessarily mean you need to run higher? Considering the EP3 still weighs the same obviously.

XL tyres are a must for the Type-R, the less lateral movement tyre on rim the better hence why bridgestones are the OEM tyre and like concrete [smilie=karls_thumb.gif] [smilie=karls_thumb.gif] [smilie=karls_thumb.gif] [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]
