Hello,
As my newbie post, I'm waiting to pick up my fresh imported EP3 and its already got some nice goodies on it.
Mugen cat back and a mugen intake.

Now on my last EP3 I had a spoon cat back and a tegiwa intake.

This would be my first time I've seen/heard and mugen bits.

Am I in for a treat for are they over rated?
i am looking forward to hearing and seeing them.
Thanks
Chris.

They are ok but not best in terms of performance. Your former Tegiwa intake is better than a Mugen intake and many 2.5" cat backs will flow better than a mugen cat back. Not sure how they sound

I have heard the air box doesn't really do much.
I had the green light now to pick the car up on Friday so I can give it a good test on the long drive home.
I wouldnt expect the Mugen airbox to be a great deal better than OEM, however the mugen cat back is quite rare and disirable to some so would be worth over £300-400 in good condition I guess should you wish to sell it. But even the best intake and 3" catback are only going to give perhaps up 10-15bhp combined without a remap.

How did you get on? I've got the same on mine and it's pretty sweet kit

I think these are overlooked
Mugen designed the bpipe is 2.25" and back box piping is 2.5" properly to help with torque at low rpm

Same for the air box, with the larger cubic space for smoothness and low rpm torque versus tegiwa m which yes gets you the gains but at peak
