He was wrong about the superchargers on Mini's letting go as well.

This Corsa VXR issue is a biggy though. Hundreds of threads relating to issues.

1 person having a good example does not mean all are dude, you know better than that.

Look at the VXR owners forum and you'll see its no isolated incident.

I also posted links showing the faults with the superchargers from the Mini owners forums. Again, not an isolated incident.

the mini's i just don't remember, had 4 of them myself over 3 years and never remember the supercharger being an issue, most issues were Intercooler leaks, power steering pump and the oil pump issue ( what caused my engine to go bang) I mean there were over 50,000 supercharged Cooper S's sold in the Uk alone and closer to 250k worldwide.

but the VXR piston 4 only affects non standard cars. out the box there is no issue, dodgy remap, then yes there you go. there have been no mods to the Corsa VXr engine apart from on the Nurburgring edition, and its still on sale today, had this been an issue opel/vauxhall would have redesigned.

Ps thats 4 cars not 1 .....lol

Did you read ANY of the posts on VXR Forums at all?

Are you saying that there are no standard cars left and they've ALL been modded? That's the reason for the high failure rate? :roflmao:

I have indeed, the one about the trackday use etc, before Stu and Dougie got involved. the over with the standard car that turned out it was previously remapped.

i suggest you read a few mate, ( its hard going as they do talk shite on there) as all seemt o relate to wither modded cars or similar tot he K20 engine faults, user error.

They a bit sh-t are they? There seem to be alot of companies with a "good rep" demanding top money for shite remaps.

A local tuner to me is a vauxhall specialist and he has a artic there running around 260 bhp.. No problems with his but he mapped it himself. He says they have a huge problem popping number piston and its due to bad mapping and also the exhaust mani is a poor design, it restricts the flow out of the cylinder causing it too get too hot...

Long time ago I had and Ep3 for 220k kilometers in[…]
