ABP MOTORSPORT wrote:Hi,

Yeah you are correct your car would be due the 60Month service price as follows:

5th Service / 60,000 / 62,500 or 60 Month
Labour Charge £57.00
Oil Filter & Sump Washer £10.90
Oil (5ltr) £37.50
Consumables £7.75
Total £113.15

If you can find out the age of your dad's S2000 and Mileage I can work out a price for his service to if you like.

Im at 68500, so its the big one for me :o(
Can you also do the rec. 70k valve clearance checks/adjustments?
If so could i have a quote for it all please...if not, any ideas on an approx price from Honda?, and a reputable dealer nr worcester/birmingham if there is such a thing!ha!

Also while im posting...a while ago i changed from decat back to cat, you fitted your o2 sensor when i 1st had the work done and i emailed you to ask what it looked like to see if it was still there, ive had a look and off the 2nd sensor theres a little black box spliced into the wiring...im guessing thats the sensor still in place?
If so could you include a price to refit the decat pipe please.

Hi matt, i hit a pothole recently and got a flat, ive put a new tyre on, but iam experiencing instabilty at high speeds, basically if i go above 80mph the wheel moves left and right, and it feels wierd, how much would it cost to get a alighnment check and balacing of tyres, as well as a full check over of the car if thats possible, as i only got it recently, and wanna make sure everything is tip top, thanks.

ABP,

i recentley had what i thought was my 96 month service done at honda, only for the fact that the car has full honda service history so wanted to keep it that way and when i booked it in they said they dont do a 96 month service and that it would be the 80 odd month one. Anyway, when i got there on the day of the service they checked their computer and said it was actually due its 100 month service even though my stamp book clearly showed next service is 96. Anyway it cost me 310 quid. The worst part was that they said my pads and discs were binding on one of the rear wheels and that they needed to sort it in order to adjust the handbrake, so they said they would sort that out and would do the tappets at the next service and wouldn't charge me any extra because they didnt have time to do the tappets as they thought the car was in for the 80 odd month service originally. At the end they then told me i needed a new caliper because it had seized and quoted 280 quid for a new one. So now im thinking, should have just gone to abp where it is cheaper labour and the guys that are working on the car are type r specialists who are known for doing a great job and with the 100 quid i would have saved it could have covered the caliper issue. So now i need to find a caliper and get the tappets done ... urgh!

Anyway, just out of interest ABP, do the tappets need checking or doing on the 96 month service you do, as honda seem to think they do on the 100 month service which i think is their equivelent. Also how much do you charge for the tappets to be done and also if i was to bring my car in to see if my caliper could be un-seized how much would you charge even if you couldn't fix it?

Sorry for the essay by the way!

Thanks, Jamie

6th service / 72,000 / 75,000 or 72 month
Labour charge £165.00
HONDA Oil filter & sump washer £11.50
Fully Synthetic 5w40 Oil (5lt) £39.00
Brake fluid £13.00
Fuel Filter £34.00
HONDA Air filter £29.90
NGK spark plugs £59.60 (or HKS plugs £82.00)
HONDA (MTF)Gearbox oil £25.00
Consumables £8.00
Total £385.00 (NGK plugs) or £407.40 (HKS plugs)

Im coming up to the 72k mark soon and looking into prices..
If I supply some of the parts, are you able to take them off the total cost along with reducing some of the labour cost?

Parts I will supply are..
Brake Fluid
NGK spark plugs
Tegiwa M installed so will not require Air filter..

Thats a total of £102.50

Will this come off the total price along with some labour charge..?

Second question is when do you do the valve clearances and are these included in the cost? If not, how much extra do you charge?
