Usually adjustment behind the lever under the plastics.

Open the arm rest (lift the lid)
You should see a little plastic cover on the side closest to the front inside the arm rest.
Remove cover.
Jack up rear wheels. (Use axle stands of sum sort!
Adjust handbrake to aprox 4 clicks. (tighten nut, dont know what size it is, probs 8 or 10mm)
Make sure that there is no drag on the rear wheels when the handbrake is in the off position.
Let car down from jacks, job done.
