Hi everyone, I've noticed a few guys here have mentioned doing a custom DIY fix on the automatic folding side view mirrors so that they automatically fold in and out when the doors are locked/unlocked. If anyone knows whats involved in doing this DIY please post a step by step guide for us newbies as I'm sure a lot of FN2 owners like myself will greatly appreciate this mod :D Cheers guys!

Yup, would be very useful...my parking routine usually goes something along the lines of:

1 ) park
2 ) switch off engine
3 ) take keys out of ignition
4 ) swear
5 ) put keys back in ignition
6 ) press the little button to retract the mirrors
7 ) take keys back out of ignition again
8 ) get out of car
9 ) get shouted at by the other half for forgetting for the millionth time

I'm sure i'm not the only one

Switch-Power-Mirrors-Central-Locking

I had to remove the resistor to get it working. Also the central locking wire was an arse, just cut some plastic off it and solder straight to it. The rest of the cut wires I used male/female conectors to make life easy if I need to take it out.

Here is a crappy diagram I made to make sense of the original post:
