I was given a set of 'Tireflys' for Christmas.They screw in to the valve end on the tyres and as the wheels turn produce a coloured light red,green or purple.Are they legal????Natrtype

No they are not.......

And they look realy sad ... but do give you 5bhp

and if you combine them with illuminated washer jets and number plate bolts you can actually get up to a 20 bhp increase...FACT

I was asking a traffic copper about the illuminated washers and number plate screws as to their legallity, (mainly cos it does my head in), he said they are illegal and they will deal with them when they feel they need to, but at the moment have got higher priorities. I say lock them up and throw away the key

I was thinking about getting some TyreFlies a while back , the thing that put me off buying them was that they were soooo long, I thought it would look stupid(er?) with a big thing hanging out

Heres a how to guide on tyre fly fitting.

1) Remove "fly" from packaging
2) Put "fly" on floor
3) Select large hammer
4) Hit "fly" firmly with large hammer
5) Clean up dead "fly"

I gave my two fast car freebies away to a lass I know......she has a 'B' reg blue Robin Reliant with flowers painted on the side of it. I figured they would blend in nicely to the 'pigs' naffness!
