Hi Guys,

Sorry if this has been posted again - I checked and didn't seem to find anything conclusive.

Are pressed/stamped metal numberplates legal? There's been a lot of spiel about pre 198_ reg but the majority of us own cars later than that.

Does anyone have an opinion on the legality of these and their experience with police/cameras, if any??

Thanks in advance :)

No because somewhere along the lines they will be selling them as 100% legal " show plates" i also don't think it's an offence to supply them, some old cars are entirely allowed black and white pressed plates, it's displaying them on the road that's illegal.

I could understand the appeal of the show plates though, may consider that :)
