hi i have bought a pioneer avh-x3600dab

i wanted to fit the radio so that it fits like this
(borrowed image of tomhighton hope you dont mind)


i removed the cage that came with unit and screwed it into the cage that comes on the car dash. However the trim surround no longer fits on as it clips onto the cage pioneer supplied

any help please

Which cage is that in the pic? I know they do a JDM cage, I'm not sure of the part number though.

Also plenty of folk have fitted double din without a surround or cage.

was told by the user that there was no cage used just simply screwed onto the existing one that comes with the ep3

ive fitted mine but have the problem with the plastic trim not fitting

I put mine in using the double din adaptor you can get, as I was going to do the same, think it looks better now than having it inside.
