Maybe the back piston is sticking slightly, or the the sliders are seizing up?

Does the wheel get warm during normal driving? Could also be that the handbrake hasn't been tightened correctly.

Does the back of the pad have the small pins in or are they just plain

as the pins stop the piston from rotating and not taking up the slack

or are the the wrong pads

Mine did this give it time it time it will go. If you want to take the outer pad out and file the outer edge down slightly but it will flatten out eventually.

Yeah mine did this also last year when i got my new rear pads fitted... my sliders and pistons were working fine as well so! Can't remember exactly how many miles i done before they bed in and start making full correct contact with the entire surface of the disc, but it didn't seem like all that long.
