Ive gone through four sets since ive owned it (6 months) usually one blows at a time.

anyone else have this issue? (it could just be bad bulbs i guess, )

Im wondering as its a projector unit if the heat build up in the confined environment is the issue, kind of reluctant to buy expensive bulbs in case it keeps happening (although this is counter intuitive i guess)

I used to have the same problem. Tried Halford long life which lasted longer than most previous, but I find Osram Ultralife H1 bulbs much longer-lasting. I only go through one or two sets a year max. Cleaning the connectors with electrical contact spray can help...

Bulbs shouldn't blow that often.

You've either got spikes in the system or (more likely) you have a loose ground connection.

Had multiple bulbs blow one after another and Honda found a loose earthing connection after a few hours work.

I had this all the time and kept buying Halfords bulbs to replace them. Eventually had Honda take a look; all they did was change the bulb and it's been fine for years since.
