Top rad hose is touching on my AEM pipe, have noticed its really transfering heat into the inlet manifold to the extent after a long drive you can't even touch the RBC!

Has anyone done anything to get round this? Or have any worth while suggestions?

I've tried changing the position of the inlet and I don't want any get a gruppe m replies, its not going to happen :)

Not sure if this is linked but there was an aem cai for sale recently which had been shortened aswas being used with an rbc. Was the end by the tb which was trimmed not sure if this effects its mounting points in any way...

Pic of it here if you can make out what he's done

I can't see half the pictures but by his description I think I have an idea of what he has done, from my under standing and what I can see he has cut the bend off the AEM to the TB so its straight and then used a 90 degree bend piece of silicone pipe?

If anyone can elaborate on this if its not the way it's been done?

Many thanks :)

same issue here with an rbc and injen cai. beside the temperature the hose was pushing the cai into gear changer and had to bind it with plastic straps from battery support to keep it in position.

the best fix is this http://www.kseriesparts.com/cr/GTE-21229.html

for me was impossible to have it ordered by any company here and too expensive to order it myself, so ended up using a flexible coolant hose from gates also http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detai ... &ppt=C0075.
works almost fine, still touches the cai a little bit but is not pushing it out of position anymore.

cheers

Loosten the clamps on the coolant pipe and rotate it up slightly. It should give you enough clearance. Could always put some thermal wrap around it if it is close. [smilie=karls_thumb.gif]

Didn't know this could be done! I've ordered a 90 degree silicone pipe but will do this at the same time!

Thanks for the suggestion! :)
