You probably took him by suprise,he probably thought you were a pensioner driving a wollowy MPS
I was gone before he had time to assume any form of social sterotype. One things for sure I bet he looks down on the older, cheaper technically inferior R26 and its owners though.

I know I do
Be something wrong if it wasnt better.
Remember the R26 had the 'perfohub' front suspension later copied by Ford on the mk2 RS (revoknuckle)and they made a massive deal about it being the first.Wrong Renault Sport were.
Now also used on the very latest hot hatches that are coming out by other manufacturers,R26 had it in 06!!
So by that same logic this is actually a better hot hatch as it defined the genre in the 1970's

I've seen someone in one of them at Cadwell Park show up loads of 'quicker' cars. Driver > Car

Read the April issue of Evo mag "celebrating the most extreme hot hatches ever" I see the older, cheaper technically inferior R26r beats focus rs500,new mini Gp and New Audi S1,it's a 2008 Megane lol

Thats because the R26.R is more extreme than the focus rs500, new mini Gp and Audi S1 right?
Last time I checked the Focus RS500 didnt have plastic windows and a roll cage.

The test wasn't called the best all around nice to live with every day on the public road hot hatch test.

The funny thing is despite all of the extreme extremeness of the R26.R, the RS265 is actually faster without R spec tyres and still has proper seat belts, OMG

All of your little fails throughout this thread are starting to snowball Matt...

And it was wet. RS500 couldn't use it's power advantage and is a road car.
Not a bloody plastic window stripped out moster on semis :???:

Also wasn't the GP faster than them all

Mini is a track special, pretty sure they are on coilovers,no rear seats etc, make sure you quote the correct person before slagging them off! EPIC FAIL  And not the first time in this thread, your snowball is starting to avalanche
Mini won by 0.2s but Megane won overall

Only people who have driven both have a worthy opinion to listen to and not people who think"I have a polybushed, coilovered, frsu Civic so it must be better" but have never driven an R26,maybe it is but standard versus standard No chance, comparing to a 225 cup would be better as standard, why not revert back to topic and give the OP some advise

OP wrote:But the one thing the megane is far superior to the civic is the handling and i was wondering if it is possible to get the civic to handle more like the meg without spending thousands?
Hence the discussion about handling mods on the EP3. Thanks.
