Have you already ruled out the clutch as a potential cause?

If the clutch is dragging it doesn't always have the same effect in all gears.
If that were occurring, it's more likely to be related to the hydraulics than the clutch itself.
The point I'm trying to make is that it's a good idea rule out the inexpensive possibilities before you go down the most costly solution route.

Like said best to rule out a clutch issue as that’s a far cheaper fix.
Also check your gear cable routing and adjustment.
3rd and 4th gear use the same synchro hub, possible issue with that but without splitting the gearbox casing you won’t know.

Just a quick update guys,

So on Wednesday I was going to replace the gearbox oil, i tried the gears before doing so and its changing gears perfectly now. Spent last 3 days taking it for a good drive to be sure and it's running better than ever!

No idea what the problem was, but happy it's driving perfect again.
