At TDi North, we are Japanese vehicle tuning specialists for Honda Type-R’s, S2000’s, Nissan Skylines and GTR’s, 350Z and 370Z’s. We can facilitate anything from general servicing and suspension setups to full custom 1000bhp turbo builds.
Established in 2004, we have a vast experience in building, modifying, tuning and running cars from everyday road use to full blown race cars. Competing successfully in many events such as Time Attack, Britcar, VTEC Challenge, rallying, hill climbs, sprints, drag racing and general track days.
We are one of the few official Mugen retailers in the UK and have carried out development work directly for Honda UK, so people high up are aware of the standard of work we can deliver. We are also dealers for quality names such as PPG transmissions, Nitron and Tein suspension, Rotrex and CT Engineering superchargers, ERL, Brian Crower and Cosworth engine components.
We also offer ECU calibration with our in-house dyno facility with vast experience of Hondata products including S300, K100, Kpro and Flashpro. We also map engine management systems such as DTA, AEM EMS, Apexi, Link, Syvecs and are also HKS Power writers.
On top of this we have recently become Uprev tuners with full backup and support from Abbey Motorsport where we can also offer the full range of tuning packages.
Services we can offer as well as general servicing include modifications, dyno tuning, full suspension setups and trackside support.
We carry out all of our fabrication work in-house often on custom made jigs. High quality Aluminium and steel TIG welding including turbo and NA manifolds, intercooler and charge-coolers, boost pipes, downpipes, intake kits as well as full exhaust systems.
We have developed our own “Street” Turbo kits for various Honda B series F20 and k20 motor platforms which enable still fully functioning heaters and aircon systems if fitted unlike many other commercially available kits. “Race” turbo kits are also available but you may loose some creature comforts… Because “Race car”
We carry out full engine and transmission builds and rebuilds using only the highest quality components. Anything from a basic bottom end rebuild and head refresh right upto full 1000bhp, 10,000rpm race motor builds. Full dynamic balancing, head and manifold porting, installation and running in is also available.
We have carried out Race spec car builds to full MSA compliance right down to fun track day builds including K-swap car conversions. We have the facilities and experience to do a full turnkey project or if you have got so far and need our expertise to finish off the job and get the car up and running with maybe some custom fabrication of manifolds, exhausts etc required then our fully kitted workshop can take that work on.
We have a fully equipped 3 ramp 4000 sqft workshop to carry out all types of servicing, maintenance and modifications to your vehicle with access to the latest main dealer’s technical and servicing information.
We have a vast knowledge of suspension set-ups and have a 4 wheel laser alignment system which is necessary in setting up your cars geometry, from standard road spec to full race specification and also to compliment your individual driving style. Corner weighting can also be carried out to optimize the balance of the car on-track.
Track day events are great fun but you must remember the additional stresses applied to the car, We can prepare your car from a basic fluid check/change to a full race spec geometry set-up to help your engine stay in one piece and your car stay on the track. We can also offer trackside assistance and development if needed.
