Its the black diagonal/diamond pattern piece that runs right across and is underneath the number plate.
I thought I had a loose clip or something along those lines as something didn't appear to be fully in place. It's been like that a while.
Closer inspection today (I was lay on the floor looking up) revealed that the right side (looking at the car) has all been pushed backward and a small area near the middle is actually concertinaed.
I'm trying to think how it was done and I can only put it down to sometime ago when I was on a very bumpy road where I live. The road has a very small dip before going up hill and I remember that the front seemed to hit the ground ..... was doing about 33mph .... I looked at my speedo as I heard a bit of a bang. Bloody roads!!!
I'm assuming it must have been done then and that the front lip must have slightly digged in, it's been squashed and popped it out.
I can't believe I never spotted it but I've not cleaned it for some time and I've only been looking from standing height which doesn't make it immediately obvious.
Anyway, any idea on cost to replace assuming worse case that the concertinaed area won't go back to normal when it's put back in position.
