The early ones were great, but Clash Of The Titans was just lame. Only Harryhausen's effects are worth watching, the acting and plot were just dire.

Everytime I see Jim Murphy MP on telly he reminds of the bad guy from Clash of the Titans. Striking resemblence IMO but could't find decent comparison pics.

Used to love these films though.

I'm a little bit late in seeing this, or even realising that there was going to be a remake.

I loved the original, but perhaps because I was horse-obsessed when I was little and loved Pegasus.

I like all the monsters and have been trying to find decent images of the new ones, but have only found Medusa. Can't even find the new Pegasus or the Cracken.

They better not have stuck to the original story of Perseus having stupid winged sandals. :badrazz:

It's a film called Clash of the Titans. In Clash of the Titans, a number of titans take it upon themselves to clash with each other, to presumably spectacular effect. Now, knowing this, what do you think the producers chose to use as the movie's tagline? Remember – there are titans in the film, and they mainly clash in it. Give up?

Have I not been paying attention? :scratch: I didn't think the original story was that the titans were having a scrap? I thought it was about punishing people for disrespecting the gods, etc? Perseus wanted to save his totty from being eaten by the cracken, so needed the head of Medusa to turn him to stone, etc., etc.

So long as there are lots of monsters in it, I'll be happy.

The official movie synopsis:

In Clash of the Titans, the ultimate struggle for power pits men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. I prefer the God of War storyline. This still looks great though!

Update: Just dug up some info that the God of War movie has been greenlighted with a script approved from the games creator... however, not all good news as rumour that Brett Ratner is pencilled in to direct. Worrying!

The original despite looking dated was superb (I have it on DVD). However I am flummoxed as to why they haven't stuck to the original screenplay story. Its clash of the titans not clash of the Gods.
