Thats not for towing, its for track use. The CTR has a rating of 0 for towing because they never tested it, thinking nobody would want to tow with it.

i think this one really depends on the MOT tester to be honest, i know a few people with these tow hooks who have went to various dealers to get their MOT and none of them have failed over this!!

however i do see where they are coming from incase someone crossing behind the car walks into it etc, but then actually fully functional tow bars could be called into question???? i know they come pretty rounded and free of sharp edges but having owned a tow hook (since sold) they certainly dont have sharp edges!!

may very well be illegal but yet to hear of anyone being pulled for it or failing an MOT over them
