Hello to all you fellow honda and epe ctr drivers, modders, nutters
I have recently upgraded my cars stopping and going performance, soon to be doing a frsu and getting alloys powdercoated... but thats not why im crying out to you lot atm

I am now wanting a stereo upgrade because my skunk2 megaR 70 best of an exhaust is drowning out my crappy standard stereo on as loud as it will go without burning out my soeakers lol

I am looking for advice from all you lot because you have probably already done it all and know what to get,do or have.
I dont really want to spend noth of 500 sheets for the lot but i feel i may have to..
whats the best set up to have? i want a decent sound and bass but not over powering so i shake to bits lol, ideally 300-500 for all.
that has to include A HU, front and rear speakers although i do have rear infinity kappas just running of standard HU that if amped would prob be alright???
amp, sub, sound proofing, wiring acessories.?

cheers guys
Jymsta

Right...dont spend anymore money on rear speakers they will be fine

You need to choose a headunit that has the features you want/need ie bluetooth, ipod etc

Then a decent 4 channel amp...to power some 6.5in front comps, and a sub to suit your style music...ie 10in punchy...12in bit more on the lows.

You only need a few sheets of sound proofing (you dont want to undo all your performance gains with added weight) in key areas, behind speakers and boot lid.

If you spend your budget wisely, 500 is just about enough...i personally would look for a second hand sub and then match the amp power wise accordingly. JBL are £ for £ regarded as the best value for money, and amping some 6.5in comps with a sub will sound really good

Headunit
front 6.5 comos
10/12in sub and box
4 channel amp (match power ratings as best you can)

Should be able to get the below for about £70 total
speaker adaptors
iso adaptor
Facia
sound proofing
Wiring kit (4 guage)

Just remember to upgrade your earth, makes a big difference, i can link to what i would buy next time im on a pc but see if jbl is in your price range

Headunit (you need 2 pre outs)

 http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-cde-171r

Fronts

 http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/speaker ... t-speakers

Amp
(not seen this before but ideal for speaker and sub set up, 500wrms for sub @2ohm so need a duel 4ohm sub to show a 2ohm load to amp)

 http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/amplifi ... -amplifier

Sub (sticking with the type R theme) i had one of these...amazing sub

 http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-swr-10d4

That comes in at £390 so £110 for a box for the sub and the wiring, adaptors (ebay cheapest for those)

I would maybe change for some slightly better front speakers...but that amp is a steal, would deff be working a set up around that amp if i had to start fresh.
