Tried it... Loved it

I took mine out after 3 hours as it looked ready & tasted great & served good portions for 5. Thanks for the post will be doing this more often

Stick a couple of beaten eggs over the top towards the end to create a tasty skin. Can be easily removed and not affect the overall taste for those that don't like it.

Try using ground mace or nutmeg in the mixture before it goes in the oven rather than just sprinkling on top. Parchment paper on top will also help it steam and not catch. Also worth substituting granulated for soft brown sugar or even golden caster sugar.
