Burning Rubber!

I'm running 225/45/17 but my rear arches have been rolled for it + plus I've got a wheel spacer so I don't see why the previous owner would of done all that if that size tyre fitted without rolling the arches etc..

Not saying it doesn't fit just wonder why the previous owner did it to mine for this size tyre if they fit with standard set up.

what rims do you have and whats the offset with the spacers?if it's stock rims with spacers fender rolling would be needed, depending on the spacer size. i'm planning 15 or 20mm spacers for my oem rims and getting those fenders rolled

The WRX does indeed have 17x7 rims, but the OEM size is not 225, it's 215/45. The WRX STI has 17x7.5 with 225/45 tyres.

Like Julian has pointed out. Very few, if any manufacturers fit 7" rims with 225 tyres as standard. The mass bulk of cars running 225 as standard have a 7.5" rim. Our very own Honda's for example. FN2 and FD2 both run 225/40's and both have 7.5" rims.

you might be ok if your just on the road, for track work though i found 225's rubbed badly even after i upgraded to coilovers. 215's on the back work though
